Living For Others (LFO) is a non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of SC and registered by the Department of Treasury (IRS) as a 501c3.

LFO's empowers underserved communities in South Carolina through essential resources and local partnerships. We address critical needs in food, shelter, healthcare, education, and personal development to foster self-sufficiency. Our firsthand experience with hardship enables us to offer empathetic and practical solutions. Driven by compassion, integrity, and innovation, we work to break cycles of poverty and build a more equitable future.

Helping Hands

HISTORY

Krystal Whitner, the founder of Living For Others, is a remarkable individual who embodies resilience, determination, and compassion. As a former teen mother who overcame significant challenges, she has achieved success as an author, educator, and devoted family woman with a strong faith. Despite facing personal struggles with anxiety and depression, Krystal maintains a balanced and fulfilling life while pursuing her mission to give back to those in need. Her inspiration comes from her family's values and the legacy of her late grandmother and aunt, who were known for their selfless generosity. On November 11, 2017, Krystal established Living For Others with a vision to provide essential services, resources, and support to those facing hardship. Her proactive approach aims to create a nurturing and confidential environment where individuals and families can access the assistance they need. As the CEO of Living For Others, Krystal continues to build upon her family's legacy of compassion. Her organization focuses on empowering families, raising awareness through community engagement, and providing vital community services. Through her leadership, Living For Others has become a transformative community movement, fostering grassroots empowerment and advocating for impactful changes.

We offer resources and a platform to empower families to raise funds for their livelihoods. With additional donations, we can turn our vision into reality. LFO is registered with the SC Secretary of State's Division of Public Charities and operates as a 501(c)3 under IRS advisement.

We engage communities with powerful narratives of purposeful living. LFO has spearheaded numerous successful campaigns that have instigated tangible change, both locally and nationally. Through events, we hold leaders accountable, urging them to reconsider what's achievable.

Community Services

Our mission is to meet the needs of communities through compassionate assistance. LFO serves as a transformative Community Movement, fostering grassroots empowerment, leadership opportunities, and advocating for impactful changes. In collaboration with our allies and partners, we are making strides toward greatness.
